High Performance 1600cc,  Solex Carbeurated,  4 Speed, Highly orignal Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint This 1958 Alfa Giulietta Sprint is a tastefully upgraded and fully restored car that currently lives in Northern California. According to Centro Documentzione Alfa Romeo this Sprint was manufactured in May of 1958 and was exported directly to Automatriz Union, S.A, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico on May 15, 1959. It is titled as a 1959 . From our research, this 750B series chassis is an early car that has 101 taillights and retains the signature style grille and eyebrow chrome grille trim. In the last two years the car has been restored in Northern California. The car is fitted with a 1600 cc motor running 9:1 pistons, mild cams, Solex carburetor, a custom fabricated exhaust and Bruck, 504 electronic igniton. The car also sports its original steel wheels and hubcaps with distinctive serpent centers. The interior has been outfitted entirely in black leather and has a new headliner and carpet kit. A beautiful and rare Nardi Torino Wood steering wheel is stunning to look at and works well with the delicate and light steering of the car. The gauges are original, cleaned and serviced, and compliment superbly the original dash. Mileage states 2156, though we suspect it is higher. Glove compartment and ashtray operate as designed.  Heater and defrost are fully operational. The floors and rockers are all completely rust and filler free. This Sprint has recently undergone a restoration, which included a rebuild of the top end, transmission, suspension and brakes.  This is one of the most outstanding  Alfas we have driven. Unlike some overworked street motors, this 1600cc exhibits a beautiful personality, firing up easily and settling into a nice, even idle. The car delivers power when needed, and likewise cruises beautifully.  All power is routed through a well behaved clutch and the original rebuilt 4 speed tunnel gearbox. Road handling and responsiveness are excellent. Cosmetically, the car presents as a well preserved, high quality restoration. The car has excellent panel fit and door gaps. The paint is outstanding. Chrome is similarly beautiful. The engine compartment is tidy, attractive and well detailed. Overall, this is one of the most nicely sorted and enjoyable Alfas we have driven. Perfectly set up for vintage rallies, wine tasting tours, or just spirited driving, this Giulietta offers everything that is promised with the vintage Alfa driving experience, and more.
