Exceptionally Original Example From 40 Years of Previous Ownership One of Only 575 Series II Espadas produced Original Colors with Campagnolo Wheels & Slim Bumpers Complete with Original Manual, Tool Bag, Period Tools, Jack in Pouch & Spare Quickly following on the heels of the trend-setting 400GT and the milestone mid-engine Miura Lamborghini introduced the Espada with 2+2 accommodations and a dramatic body designed by Marcello Gandini of Bertone. Power came from Lamborghini’s smooth, durable and powerful 3929cc 4-cam V-12. With fully independent suspension and a 5-speed gearbox it was a luxury gran turismo that equaled or bettered anything else on the market. Espada production ceased in 1978 after only 1,217 of these unique tourers had been built. A desirable and rarely seen Series II Espada! The Series II Espada was introduced in 1970 with more power and a new steering wheel, dashboard, and grille, along with vented brakes and Miura style knock off wheels. Here is a remarkably original SII of Texas residency and 40 years of previous ownership. The Lamborghini displays just 32,000 actual miles which are said to be original by the previous owner. It is well preserved without corrosion issues or modification. Displaying a beautiful and fitting color combination, the interior’s upholstery is original and intact showing a nice patina. Period radio, glass (with factory decals), trim and lenses appear original as well. The exterior cosmetics show a few blemishes but the overall look is very attractive, the Miura style Campagonolo gold wheels pair well to the ivory color scheme. An ideal driver or preservation class candidate, this particular car presents well for continued touring and casual use.
