This is a “barn-find” 1972 Fiat 124 Sport Coupe.

One owner, my late father. He bought the car new in Sunnyvale, California, and it was always garaged on the West Coast. Parked the car inside years ago and left it. It’s all there but hasn’t run in maybe two decades. Note that the odometer reads 90,905, but that’s on top of 100,000 miles โ€“ so nearly 200,000 total miles. Dad was always religious about changing (good quality) oil and filter, and often. Has one set of light-alloy Cromodora wheels on the car and another that will come with it, just a power-coat away from looking fine. A Haynes manual will come with the car. Cable to open the hood has broken. Overall, looks in OK condition. Would benefit from some light bodywork in spots and a whole new paint job. Interior looks good for the car’s age. I registered the Fiat on Dec. 6, 2021 and the DMV is sending me a new title.

Four-cylinder, 1600cc, double-overhead-cam engine. Five-speed manual. Disc brakes all around. Was a fun car to drive. A very rare Fiat these days and this second-generation “BC” model was the best looking of the three versions of 124 Sport Coupes. Would love to see the car go to someone who would bring it back to life and enjoy it. Would be great to take to a Cars & Coffee but I just don’t have the time, money, or space for this classic.
