This 1989 LaForza was one of 900 imported to the U.S. LaForza contracted with Pinnin Farina of Ferrari fame, to assemble the chassis, body, and the interior. The cars were shipped to Cars and Concepts in Michigan where a special Ford Performance Factory (fuel injected, 5.0-liter V-8) and a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive was installed. An Iveco on the fly 2wd to 4wd were also installed at the same time. Original engine completely upgraded with a Kenne-Bell supercharger along with Air Flow Researach Competition Heads, competition cams and pistons. Also installed is a RV 2000 heavy-duty transmission to handle the torque of the new power train. Suspension upgraded with cusomt Quiknor stablizer bars and recalibrated with Bilstein shocks. All the upgrades were done with no expense spared (all reciepts available – totallying nearly $17,000). This vehicle has 100% original paint, interior, wheels and tires.
