Rare 1990 Alfa Romeo S.Z. “Il Mostro”. One of the most polarizing and engaging Italian vehicles ever created, the Sprint Zagato offers classic styling cues that exemplify Alfa’s future and past vehicle design language. It also was the culmination of suspension, dynamics and overall winning motorsports technology applied to the 75 Chassis for which the SZ is based. Known as the Experimental Sports Car 3.0 Liter, the SZ is a bespoke Italian Coupe that wears an unmistakeable design. Produced 07/1990, this SZ was properly imported under the 25 Year Rule and is Licensed and Registered with Title in Hand.
The SZ was designed by Alfa Romeo and was built at the Zagato Factory. With a 210HP V6 recognized for its symphonic wail and a handling balance afforded by the race car like transaxle, the SZ has underpinnings of a true sports car. The SZ also incorporated new age ’90’s technology like Adjustable Hydraulic Suspension to elevate its driving characteristics. Our vehicle retains all of the unique highlights of the SZ design including the bespoke Speedline Wheels, ZagatoDesign Seats, Momo Steering Wheel, Adjustable Suspension and Plastic Body. The advanced design of the vehicles shape was to be brought to reality by building the body out of composite materials. Short for Sprint Zagato, the SZ comes from a lineage of beautiful performers. The car is serialized with only 1000 Produced, all of which came in Red. There are a handful of factory variations in terms of interior color, exterior color, and accessory equipment. Wonderful proportions and an aggressive stance gives the car an extremely unique and mesmerizing look. It is truly a fantastic blend of 80’s boxiness and ’90’s smooth aero!
