Don’t miss this very low mileage, unmolested, stunning 1997 Fiat Barchetta! These cars are extremely rare and I dare say, this is probably the nicest one in the United States! The color is striking and with the beige top and racing stripes, it’s one of the most beautiful cars you’ll ever see!
It pains me to part with this car but my wife just bought me my last car on my bucket list and I’m only allowed one toy at a time… We’ve owned this car for nearly two years. It was imported by Duncan Motor Sports in Virginia. They currently have another listed, feel free to compare the two!
When purchased we had this car serviced from top to bottom. All fluids, fuel filter, tune up, spark plugs, belt, timing belt, water pump, new tires, wheels, new convertible top, roll bars added, A/C serviced, new shocks, struts, bushings, new battery, windshield wipers and custom Barchetta floor mats and a Barchetta trunk mat were added. We also added a polycarbonate windscreen. It has a current WV inspection sticker. We do have the owner’s manual… We also have a custom-made folding windshield sun visor with bag for it… There are no leaks and it’s so clean, you could eat off it!
Everything operates as it should, Ice cold, 40 degree A/C, heater, defroster, stereo. The car shifts and drives as expected. We recently drove to Columbus, Ohio and back over a weekend to an Italian only Car show with no issues. The convertible top operates and is tight fitting… The interior is nearly flawless with no dash cracks or tears in the seats. The plastics are excellent. All rubber is soft and pliable. No cracks in the windshield or side windows. Power windows and door locks operate. Electric antenae operates. All lights function. No cracks in the lenses… No curb rash on tires. Rims look like new as well… Paint is probably an 8.5 out of 10.
We were a little worried about parts availability when we purchased it but was surprised at how easy it was to find anything for it. Ebay is a great source. There are several Facebook groups for these cars. We probably belong to half a dozen. The car is relatively easy to work on… Prior to listing, we just had the oil changed and I put two new front tires on it and had an alignment due to a little wear on the insides. I’m a little on the anal side. My wife says I just like to spend money! We like our cars to be as close to perfect as possible and perfect ain’t cheep…
I would not hesitate to fly in and drive it anywhere!
The odometer is in kilometers as is the speedometer. The one advantage to that is when you look down at it, you think your flying all the time! The disadvantage is when you see a cop, you almost have a heart attack. You can purchase a 12v, dash mounted digital display for around $20 bucks or even a heads up display that shows MPH. I had one but accidentally stepped on it when I took it off the dash to clean it…
