This iconic 2008 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione reintroduced Alfa Romeo into the United States. Only 500 cars were produced, and only 90 made it into the USA. This example is one of only 19 8C’s finished in non-metallic Alfa Red. Originally sold new at Ferrari of Seattle to its one and only owner, this 8C has only been driven a mere 450 miles since and has never seen rain, being fastidiously cared for as a cherished member of its previous owner’s climate controlled collection. The vehicle presents in absolutely like new condition throughout and is unequivocally the nicest example available on the market. ย  All panels of the car are built out of carbon fiber. The Alfa 8C Competizione features a Ferrari/Maserati derived 450hp/354lb-ft 32-valve 4.7-litre V8 engine with aluminum block and heads, and was assembled by Ferrari. An alloy starter button kicks the engine into roaring life with the slightest touch. The brute sound of this car is truly magical. Power is delivered via a rear mounted six-speed “Cambio Corsa” gearbox and limited-slip differential, its shifting handled by steering column paddles. Carbon shell seats with Poltrona Frau woven red leather. The 8C combines brilliant performance with extraordinary road-holding and the handling of a true thoroughbred. Over $6,200 in factory option were included with this rare Alfa Romeo. There is no mistaking that the 8C is an Alfa, as the diagonal hood creases and triangular grille, two key Alfa design elements, give it away. It’s an absolutely striking car to stand beside. This lovely sports car sits low with long nose that seems to be sculpted for perfection. The proportions of the car are such that the driver sits almost at more than the halfway mark of the car. The triple headlights on either side of the hood and the three-partition grille is a distinguishing feature. The aerodynamically humped back seems to end a tad bit suddenly with a gently curving spoiler. The gorgeous detailing and graceful curves all along the body invite you to feel them out! Two sets of dual-exhausts sit on either side at the rear well below the large tail lamps. Large black-finished brake calipers paired with vented and cross-drilled rotors are prominent behind the 20″ alloy wheels. The 8C’s most unique feature is its semi-monocoque body/chassis whose external and internal surfaces are all formed in carbon fibre and tuned (especially underneath) in the wind tunnel of race car maker, Dallara. As its name also suggests, it is a racing competition-worthy car with the racing blood of Ferrari and Maserati flowing through its tubes. This car has just about the best and most classically sporty engine note ever: a powerful bark-rumble that rises to a genuine Le Mans howl, accompanied by an amazing crackle on the overrun. Very Italian. It is enhanced at low speed when you push the dashboard Sport button and open a couple of exhaust bypass valves, also shortening throttle travel, setting the stability control to “hero” position, and cutting gearchange time. The Competizone’s interior is truly racing oriented with a hint of Italian extravagance and frivolity and everything set up for a satisfying driving experience. To keep the car light and give the interior a sporty feel at the same time, the red bucket seats have a carbon shell and they are covered with the finest Poltrona Frau leather, featuring a unique twisted-weave pattern. The cabin is lined with carbon fiber, the carbon dashboard is full of gauges and dials which are large and easy to view. A leather wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel adds to the sporting feel. The dashboard area and central console are also covered with buttons to activate various facilities, the climate-control system and a top-notch audio system. The aluminum console and grab handles are machined from solid billet. This 8C also has the optional leather headlining.
